Hi, I’m Madeline.
I’m a massage therapist in Sacramento, a lifelong dancer, and a professional Argentine Tango teacher. Movement has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up dancing, later taught ballet, and eventually found myself called toward a more hands-on way of helping people connect with their bodies.
That path led me to massage.
My work is rooted in the idea that every body is different, and every session should be different too. I typically use multiple modalities during each massage and let my clients’ bodies guide us both. I often focus on the nervous system, the fascial structures, and the way tension moves through the whole kinetic chain.
Because of my background in dance and movement teaching, I tend to notice patterns: how one area compensates for another, where effort is being held, and where the body might need support instead of force. My goal is to offer massage that feels warm, attentive, and effective without being rushed or generic.
Whether you are looking for relaxation, pain relief, more mobility, or simply a place to ground and sink into your body, you are welcome here.
Specialties
Myofascial Release
Fascia is a web-like layer of connective tissue that surrounds and supports the muscles, organs, nerves, and other structures throughout the body. Because it is continuous and deeply interconnected, tension or restriction in one area can sometimes affect comfort, movement, and balance somewhere else. In myofascial release, I use this structure to feel into the body’s connections, working gently and intentionally with areas of tightness or restriction to help the body move with more ease.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage
Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage uses light, rhythmic strokes to encourage lymph fluid to move through the body, remove excess fluid and cellular byproducts, and send immune cells to where they’re needed. MLD can help reduce swelling and fluid retention, support post-surgical healing, calm inflammation, ease feelings of heaviness or puffiness, and support the body’s natural recovery process.
A Manual Lymphatic Drainage session is soft, calming, and intentional. Unlike deeper massage, the pressure is light and precise, working with the natural direction and rhythm of lymph flow. Many people find it deeply relaxing and soothing to the nervous system. Sessions leave the body feeling lighter, clearer, and more at ease.
